oiler on the distibutor

if that oiler cup & cap is rusty, then it'll be purt'near impossible to remove it without destroying it. I reckon these things are installed much like the filler neck engine block, and rocking them back & forth allows ya to wiggle them loose. Maybe contact one of those distributor / generator resto services, maybe they'll have the materials and some words of wisdom that might could get ya moving in the right direction (a tribute may be required).

I have no fear of machining out the old one/pressing in a new one if I need to to make it right after the fact, just wanted to know how they are installed

I just pulled this distributor oiler out of a old P26 core motor. You can carefully remove the oiler cap separately. The main part into the distributor is really quite thick steel tube and I really tightened the vise grips on it to remove it-it didn't crush at all as you can see.

the one on my distributor is a one piece 90° fitting. Just spent a fair amount of time seaching the nekkid lady giver for a supplier with my only hit being a source in England, and I don't think they have the "one" that will work. MSC has them but not quite the same style.

Anyone have a source?

you could stop by an electric motor repair shop and see what they have lying around. you never know, they may just give you some.
