41/53dodges Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 im working on currently designing a dual exhaust, and need to know whether i should connect all 6 cylinders and have 2 pipes running off of them or separate them into 1-3 and 3-6 also, if i started selling these, what would be a good asking price for them? Robert Horne Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 $50.00 would be a real good price. I need 3.. Quote

I guess it depends on whether you are talking cast manifolds or exhaust pipe style headers. Quote
moose Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) I usually just let my website speak for itself, but this might be a good time to bring it up. For forum members, $175 for headers or intake separately, combo manifold $300 and up depending on what options you want. Edit--My website is down right now. Should be back today or tomorrow. Sorry Edited January 12, 2011 by moose___ website problems Quote
normanpitkin Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 hi moose, would you be able to make an intake manifold for my 48 new yorker?I really fancy a dual carb set up and cannot find a stromberg aav-s ! May as well give up looking for one and get a dual carb set up i suppose.. Quote
moose Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 PM me. I don't want to cause clutter, but yeah. How did your headers come out? Any pictures? Quote
53_Suburban Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Langdon's Stovebolt sells these headers for $340. These are great headers except for the close proximity of the front one to the fuel pump. I wrapped both the fuel line and the exhaust to solve the fuel line getting too hot problem I was having. 41/53dodges Posted January 14, 2011 Author Report Posted January 14, 2011 i was thinking about building a set similar to this "stock replacement" one as you call it in design, but split into 3's. here's a picture of moose's (thank you) http://www.manifoldsbymoose.com/manifoldsbymoose/D-P_Combos.html#8 i had a picture of the 3-d design i made, but the site seems to hate it for some odd reason. dezeldoc Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Moose, do you sell any of these? Quote
moose Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Moose, do you sell any of these? I've sold about 35--mostly in the past five years. The orders keep coming, but I always figure the market is just about saturated. Can't make much money at those prices, so I'm glad I've got another job. Quote

What all do you have on that site?Merle Wel I don't think there's any of that on there:eek: I might have to check again! Everything on there are manifolds that I have sold, or that I'm running right now. They've gone as far as Australia, Canada and all over the US. lucky you! Yeah I am lucky. My other job is taking care of my kids. It's pretty cool, but I only get to work in the garage when they are asleep... Quote
