Dodgeb4ya; No apologies needed my friend, that's why I'm here; doing this build pretty much on my own, and need all the help/advice I can get. There's a lot of things I am, but an "Old-Car-Guru" is NOT one of them; just trying to relive my younger days when I could only dream of having a "cool" ride !! :) And yes, I do want it to be safe for me and all the others out there who "share the road".:D Cass, alias littlemo...

Yeah, time to start, stopping !!!   Cass, alias littlemo... Dang, wouldn't you know it; finally get signed back in, now can't seem to post pics ??? know I've seen a thread on this somewhere??? Ok, found directions under "Help"; followed directions; clicked attach files;& NOTHING !!!  Add: Finally got two pics to upload. Actually they are out of order; the first pic shows the revised (new) MC cover and the second pic the new pan & toe boards with old MC cover !!

Finally took the plunge and began making toe-boards and flat patches for my floor in the 48 ( see previous post ). I used 16 gauge for the flat patches and 18 gauge for the toe-boards. The most difficult part I ran into was recessing ( correct word ??) the edge of the toe-boards for the front removable floor section to fit into for support. My problem now, is to determine just how much of the old floor (partially rusted through in places) to remove before welding in the new patches?? ( sorry, still having problems posting pics on this new forum format)      ;Cass, alias littlemo...   Note: The new MC cover has "softer-lines" and won't make such an obvious lump in the floor board when covered by the carpeting !! ??

falconvan; sorry being late in this reply, hadn"t been on my post for some time. Do you still need the spring pics ?? If so I will take some and if I cannot post here, can send them to you via e-mail. I finally finished my new trans crossmember and modified e-brake bracket. Now to cut-to-length and attach the cables.       Cass, alias littlemo...    Add: When I try to attach pictures, I get a "pink-flag" saying " This file too big to upload". How can I modify to post ?? anyone ??? Says I can upload 1MB - max single file size ???

Thanks for the tip, I will try it !!!   Cass, alias littlemo... Add. Guess I'll have to study that site a little better, it uploaded as a "Zip" file and then wouldn't let me open it ???

I use Google plus for photos. You install it on your phone and set it to auto upload when on your home wireless network.

Take pictures with the phone and it will upload them automatically to your Google plus account. Then all you have to do on your computer is go to Google plus photos, right click on the photo and copy the URL of the pic and add it to the image URL in the forum.

ssnowden; thanks for the info, but I've been taking my pics with an Olympus SZ-10, as my phone is not much on taking pics; it will  barely make phone calls !!! lol.. falconvan; couldn't find the program you suggested, but do have a similar HP Photosmart Plus. I'm wondering if I can go into my own compuiter, Ie fix option, and adjust file size as my pics seem to be too large to upload ??? Will just have to keep trying, but getting really frustrated !!!   Cass, alias littlemo... Add notice I was able to recently upload the pic of the wiring diagram on another post, since I assume , it was of a smaller file size ( ie within the 1MB limit ???)

Nice muffler; the same thing happened to me driving back to Kirksville Mo from St louis Mo in 1963. I was driving a 1957 (312 Y-block I think ?) Mercury whose carb may have been running a little rich?? I was told, gas condensation and resulting explosion blew the muffler ??? All I know for sure; it made a H_LL of a big bang when it let go !!!   lol... Cass, alias littlemo...

That muffler had been installed about $65 and ten minutes before it expired.  Never close the choke and pump the gas before cranking a warm engine.  Yes, it was quite loud inside the garage.
