oldodge41 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 It isn't a Mopar but it is an old car. A guy that works for Hagerty Insurance in Michigan has committed to using a Model A as his daily driver for 365 days. he is on about day 30 and you can follow his adventure at this link http://www.365daysofa.com Quote
TodFitch Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 And that is a blog with a RSS feed so you can subscribe to it if you like (I did about a week ago). Interesting that he added a thermostat to the upper radiator hose which slightly pressurizes the block and then he started fighting coolant leaks. I guess I'm a purest curmudgeon, but it does seem to me that if you aren't careful with your deviations from stock you can get yourself more issues than the few you were trying to solve. That said, it looks like he has the right attitude and skills to pull this off. Quote
Frank Elder Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 We shall see if the winter is kind to him.....some texter will probably fold it up. Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Hagerty Insurance prohibits daily driving in there standard old car policy. However I see in the FAQ section this guy is insured with another company. I now wonder if Hagerty is paying for the space for the sign on the side of the car to help offset costs? And I would guess other old car vendors would do the same. I hope the guy does well and makes it to Hershey next year. Quote
