41/53dodges Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 well, the good news is that i got an engine for $35. the bad news is that its locked up and i have no clue what it is except for massey harris. the only markings on it as far as model goes are "LP6" any ideas what it is? its a 23" head. The search function will be your friend. I always throw diesel fuel down every spark plug hole and let it set overnight - then rig up a grease gun with the same fitting as a spark plug thread and pick a cylinder with both valves close - start pumping and stop when the valves open or you get to the bottom of the stroke. Refill all the cylinders with diesel and pick another hole and repeat. You'll get it loose pretty quick and easy with that method. Quote
