TodFitch Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Just heard a lot of sirens outside the office window and looked out to see a whole parade of emergency vehicles, including more than a few antique ones, with logos from all over the place going down the street with a motorcycle police escort... Too bad I wasn't quick enough to remember I have a camera on the cell phone and could have taken pictures. Quote
greg g Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Are you having a Spaamfa event in you area (Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus i America) If so check it out, lots of interesting stuff will be on display, and if they have a water source handy they will usually fire up the pumps and be pushing water. they had their national event here 2 years ago. http://www.firebuff.org/Syracuse.htm Quote

And that would not explain the police cars and ambulances (new and antique) that were there too. I am wondering if there was a memorial service for a public safety officer or similar event.... Nothing on the local paper's web site about it that I can see Quote
jd52cranbrook Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 I think the town of Sunnyvale does that every year. Twice I have come down where my bank is to see them all lined up. Then they took off for parts unknown with sirens blazing at a slow pace. Quote
LAKOTA169 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 We have a lights and siren parade every year the day before the Woodward Dream Cruise. http://www.nassaufdrant.com/forum/apparatus-and-lights-and-sirens-13325.html Photos Here http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c141/LAKOTA169/Police%20Vehicles/POLICE%20CAR%20SHOW/?start=all Quote
