When your looking for parts ????

Recommended Posts

Hey ya know what ,,, when your looking for parts and people are there to help ya out with parts it would be a good thing to let them know if you want them or NOT and don,t leave them standing after they go threw the trouble with shipping cost and boxing up the item to ship to YOU..... and YOU don,t come threw. Iam getting abit PISSED Off with people that seem to think your time doesn,t mean squat.... Hey if you need a part and I got it and you want it then lets do the deal and everyone is happy but don,t ask me to send pics and ask how much with shipping and leave me hangin ................ It,s not like Iam asking a fortune for the part cause Iam Not ... Iam here to help you out Not screw you over . So then next time you need a part and I got it and I know you made me sit and wait till you made up you mind weather you wanted it or not it might cost you double ....

Sorry to vent guys but I have just about had enough of being the nice guy to help out the guy that want to put a truck together without it costing a arm and a leg...... I think for now on I just as well put it on E bay and get top dollar

Well if you are just selling them at a low price to help out then yes that can be annoying. Problem may be with shipping cost from Canada to US.

The same headaches and even more come up when you sell on ebay.

Thats what Iam pissed about

Perhaps this will help you:

Now you just need to measure the item and figure out the box size, estimate the weight, add a couple of dollars for packing material, and send the shipping estimate to the person that asked.

I never box an item up and take it to the post office when someone asks what shipping is. I just estimate size and weight and get an estimate online. Sometimes the shipping cost can scare people off from buying something.

Look at it this way, now you know what it is for the next buyer.

while I will admit it is an aggravation..it is part in part of doing business..good guy or businessman..and I would venture to say that for about evey buyer asking these question and not getting back to you after the fact...I have has as many sellers who dropped communications for whatever reason..maybe a higher offer..closer inspections proves the part not worthy of sale, maybe I ought to keep it for a spare, they aren't being made anymore etc etc..I have parts on here now that I have boxed for members and still sitting after almost two years..and for every one of these little set backs or annoyances..there has been more than enough positive buys and sells to balance out..for the most part quotes are not hard that difficult to obtain in person..quit stop by the PO or some shipper, now I may have advantage as they are both near my home for the PO and the shipper across the street from where I work...if you have an intent to sell it..having it packaged and weighted will always be a plus for any future sell.

Would you by any chance have any rear fenders for a 50? You wouldn't have to worry about shipping cause I would pick them up.
