Young Ed Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 I like the burma shave signs but the car info is a little lacking. He says the Tucker died from lack of financing? Not hardly. And the Turbine cars were destroyed because they were a failure? They were destroyed because Mopar didn't want to pay the import duties on them. Quote
Young Ed Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Ya the pics were neat. I did enjoy it. I know there are a few turbine cars still around. I've heard anywhere from 3-13 weren't destroyed. Somewhere I saw actual footage of them being destroyed Oh and one of the guys in our plymouth club chapter was lucky enough to have his family chosen to test one of these back then. He has some interesting stories about the cars. Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Here is a list of all of the Tuckers. I went to the Tucker Convention in Vegas a few years ago. Dennis http://www.tuckerclub.org/html/see_a_tucker.php Quote
40phil41 Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 We attended a WPC meet in the mid-1980' in Detroit and Chrysler had one running and took folks for a ride around the proving grounds. So at least that one was still around. Phil Quote
