you can do a lot of things on the hamb ..... BUT not all are nice ..

I have bought and sold a lot of stuff on the HAMB..one thing for certain..thus far the transactions go very well....they pride themselves with their word being their bond and I find that refreshing..the HAMB tends to police themselves better than E-bay could ever hope..

yeah..but what are you going to discuss there..goofy hats or baggy ungodly looking golf pants..

Youse very funny:p, actually this week, a lot of talk around a 1951 Saratoga with 331 hemi:rolleyes:, all the bells and whistles, all factroy options. This is a Dallas car, a low mile original unmolested car.

The guy already has it on ebay:rolleyes:, what a shame, hope he keeps her, nice car, should go like snot too......

I like The Hamb, i'm a member but have never posted. I like alot of things about The Hamb but they could be a bit more open minded and not so quick to bash, nature of the beast I guess. They seem to have guidelines for what is cool. In my short time on this planet I'll make that call for myself.

I like the Hamb also, but rarely post there. I mainly use the search there and check the new posts. I'm pretty new at forums and it's more comfortable here and there's less of a chance of being hacked down. I'm sure there's mostly a lot of good helpful car guys there and just few guys with an attitude or something to prove.

I post on the H.A.M.B. anytime some with a flathead MoPar ask questions that I can answer or about 235 Chevy I/6s. I try to limit my posts to things that I know enough about to be intelligent with my post, as I do not cherish being Flamed for my stupidity. They have gotten much better over there than they use to be. If you did not do a formal introduction before your first post you had broken protocol and you got flamed big time. They seem to be mellowing with age and new members, as the small click is hard to keep alive as the forum grows.

I read the posts there mainly......post stuff on occasion.

Have met some of the participants when they hold the drag

races here in August.....always nice enough fellows in person.

Took HK Estes for a ride in the convert last year on Friday night.

Of course, he's a native of this area (now living in Texas).

The funny part is that the ol mostly stock, 6 cyl Plym gets good

comments - even though it's not a rod nor a kustom.

Just from reading the posts and attending the lone star round up it becomes apparent that most of the young guys are running almost stock 50's & 60's cars that they can afford, and just like we did they have to save up to buy tools so that they can work on their cars, then parts when the money is available. We have nostalgia drags put on by the Continentals which is the same club that does the lone star round up in Academy at Little River drag strip and you see them and their "Bettie's" thinking we dresses and lived like that in the 50's. They base their life and life style around a 50;s theme.

I,m a Hamber, found this site thru that site as a matter of fact.

Great people, never had a problem buying or selling thru there. Actually found my 49 there. Different mentality maybe there, more Kustom than stock folks.

I joined the HAMB on 08-11-2002. I dont post there often but I do enjoy reading some of the postings there. If anyone there gets out of line they do get hammered. Sometimes that is a very good thing. I dont think anyone there has ever been banned for saying what they really think.
