There is a Studebaker zone meet in South Bend, Indiana at the 4H Fairgrounds. The event will feature a Studebaker and Packard concours and and all brands car show on Saturday May 8. There will be a mostly Studebaker swap meet on Friday. My wife and I will be attending the Swap and Show. If you are in the area, you might want to make an effort to stop by.

Bob and Wanda Van Buskirk are from Indy are considering joining us.

If more Forum folks are gonna be there, maybe we can arrange a grip and grin meet some where on the show grounds.

How's your truck coming along? Haven't seen any updates in a while. Is it done?

My Truck and I have not really ended our winter hibernation. Plus it has a leak that has discouraged me. It started leaking trans fluid from the TQ to trans connection. I need some small pieces for completion, and need to figure out the parking brake connection as it is an item required for state inspection. need ot get side windo chanel, cat whiskers and retainers, and one of my vent window frames is shot, area where the pivots attach is rusted to badly to fix.

It does start run, move and stop by its own systems.

I hope the transmission deal is just shiming the TQ / flexplate enough to make a good seal.

I am running a GM 700 4r and the stuff says that their should be a space between the flex plate and the TQ, I put in two flat washers on each of the connections but it looks like I need more to push the TQ back toward the transmission. I guess part of the problem is making up the difference from the thickness of the adapter plate as the trans is that far back from the engine. So I will have to figure out some thicker spacers. then I eed to finish up the interior, wire the signal lights, and get it on the road.
