I am having my coupe repainted and filled in the antenna hole on the top of the cowl on the passenger side. I want to add an antenna to the side of the cowl on the driver's side and wonder where I can find one of these. This is the type of antenna that has two mounting points and is mounted below the top of the cowl. I have seen a few pictures and just wonder where people got them. I have not come across a good one on ebay and wonder where I can buy one new? Any help appreciated!

Google search. I found a ton of them including some with removable cords that only required a small hole instead of the large one.

Okay, Ed, I must be stupid. I put in side mount antenna and the only one I found was through amazon.com and their supplier will not ship to Canada. Too bad as it is just what I want whereas the others are all modern side mount. I even phoned the supplier. Did you googel "side mount antenna" because I am not having much luck. Thanks.

Thanks, Reg, I will order from one of these guys, likely Roberts. Never thought to check with either of them. Doh! Brain fart time!:P

Edit................just ordered from Roberts. Maybe it's a name thing.:P Same price as their competitor Andy. I have dealt with both in the past and had good luck with either. Roberts has come highly recommended lately by a few forum members.

On the side mounted antenna's the factory had them on an angle and these were usually mounted on the drivers side of the car. There was a post a few weeks ago inwhich the poster had the template on how these were mounted on the side of the cowl.

Before you drill the holes I would just hook up the antena and verify that you get good recption with before drill the holes.

You still might need to trim the radio with the internal cntrol screw onthe radio.
