Nelson,

Happy to hear that the new tune-up is going satisfactory for you.

We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Take it easy so you

can get back to your normal routine soon.

Nelson, You know what they say about a car when you do a valve job and don't re-ring it??? They say that sealing up the top end with a valve job will cause the bottom end to blow out... Gee..Hope that doesn't happen to people too.. LOL... Actually, great to see that you are doing so well. Take care and look forwrd to hearing from you here...

Hi Guys, this is Nelson's granddaughter. I'm sorry to tell you that he passed away last night. I know he really enjoyed being a part of this forum and loved having a place to talk about Bessie. Thanks for all of the well wishes. If you want to send any messages I'll check his email so I can forward them to his wife Nancy.

Thank you for sharing this with the forum. We're sorry to hear of this loss. 56 years of marriage, what a blessing.

My condolences to Nancy and family. A sad day for the forum as well.

For those who wish to send a card:

I have Nancy's address. PM me for it.

I don't think I should post it for her safety.

I never met the old bird but I sure do miss seeing his postings here on the forum. I came across one of his last posts and it made me stop and think how lucky I am to have what I have at this stage in life. Not rich in money but very rich in other ways. Here's Nelson's post. It was kinda prophetic in a way.

"I will go for a long ride soon I could care less the price of gas.

Been over to weeks since I have seen Bessy.

Hope to get out to the shop, Might try to fire her up.

Have fun and enjoy life guys.

Keep these post coming.Had agreat day."

Norm;

Thanks for posting your thoughts. I too miss Nelsons postings. Nelson went on his long ride and his long ride will live forever in our memories. I also never met Nelson but I am sure he heard me honk as I drove through his stomping ground. The price of gas has no comparison to the value of friendship. Friendship cannot be bought only earned. Nelson earned the friendship of everyone he came into contact with. He taught me some valuable life lessons that I will never forget.
