IronMike Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Being a proud papa I wanted to share the reason why I haven't been able to get the brakes finished on my 50 Dodge...... My wife and I were blessed with the birth of a daughter on Wednesday 01/27/10. She weighed in at 6lbs. 13oz. and is 18 3/4" long. She and her brother who will 2 yrs. of age this coming Friday round out the family nicely. I also wanted to thank the people here for all of the information and experience shared between the members. I hope that the automobile hobby will bring my children the enjoyment that I have experienced through the years. Places such as this can go a long way to educate and foster the interest of others in this wonderful hobby and pass it down to future generations. Mike Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Congratulations on your new daughter. Enjoy them while you can......my "baby girl" is now 40 years of age. Hopefully they'll like Dad's old car(s). Quote
dezeldoc Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Congrats, enjoy the time with them as it passes way to quickly! Quote
IronMike Posted February 2, 2010 Author Report Posted February 2, 2010 Thanks! I give mom the credit for the good looks....... My son loves riding in the 50 Dodge and is most "helpful" whenever I work on any of our cars. I recently sold two of my old trucks and I am not sure that he has forgiven me for that. But, hopefully I will be on the hunt for a Pilothouse in the next year or so. On a side note....... After reading some of the horror stories on here about rear hub removal, I was able to get mine off today with just a few wacks of the hammer. I now have everything disassembled and am gathering the needed items to get my brake overhaul done. Mike Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Congrats to you & your wife on the new addition. Dennis:cool: Quote

LuckyDevil Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Congrats. I also have a newborn as of Jan. 5. His name is Christopher and is a welcome addition to the family especially after having three beautiful little girls. Girls are great. I was always told it takes a real man to knock the b@!!s off. And, they can help you work on stuff too. Quote
