Was installed on a p15. It kinda looks like a 41(40?) center bumper guard. Anyone know?

Rodney does it fit 40s or just 41s? I was just going to chuck it but when I took it off the p15 bumper I thought it might be a factory part because of how well its made. It didn't have the cheap look of an aftermarket part.

40 and 41 both had skinny bumpers with a smooth arc where the bumper lines up...(with no indent as the p-15). and there is a 1/4 groove down the center that was painted red.

it seems that that piece wouldnt fit up too well on a p-15 bumper.

the 40's had 2 on each bumper..the 41's had only 1. i think i am correct..

Bill you are certainly right that it didn't fit well at all on the p15 bumper. The arc of the 2 was totally different.

Jim I really hope you can get it repaired and up and running. I can feel your frustration from here. Getting some miles on the beast will be a good cure.

The 1941 Plymouth that I started my prewar mopar hobby with had that bumperette part on it. I still have it in my old garage. I did not use the part on the 1940 that I evenually put together. The 1940 Plymouth had bumperettes on the back. I had them chromed and they are stuning but did not make to the final design of the my car. I like the clean look of the "bumper only look" in the rear.
