long block/ short block

All Canadian cars from and including 1938 have the long block flathead. It was a small market and when Chrysler built an engine plant up here they didn't want to go to the expense of producing two engines, hence the long block only. It sure makes picking up an engine here easy. Anything will fit.

The engine in my 1948 D25 is a 25" block,

another guy i know has a 1946 P15 Plymouth,that too has(had)

the 25" block as well.

Both cars are Australian built bodies(TJ Richards)

The engine out of the Plymouth now resides with me and now

is being used for parts!

The engines and chassis were imported from Canada

and bodies assembled here in Adelaide, South Australia!
