Bob_Koch Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Whoa, guess I better reconsider my paint job and find some school bus yellow to spray on it. I'll be there. Thanks for the advance heads up. Quote
Jim Shepard Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 "Oh yes,.. Hemi's pay double, and yellow trucks get in free." Hey! Does that mean 'ol Grey has to pay? Quote
HanksB3B Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Does this event take place ? Thanks, Hank Quote

buds truck Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 "Oh yes,.. Hemi's pay double, and yellow trucks get in free." great, I know I won't have the truck painted by then, I guess I will need to spray bomb it yellow just to save the cost of admission.... or do you guys pay to see plum crazy purple trucks?? Don Coatney Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 What is the cost for a full race flatty Plymouth car? Or the cost if I bring this hemi with all attachments? Quote
48Dodger Posted November 9, 2009 Author Report Posted November 9, 2009 If you bring the Hemi, the girl, and the flattie.....I'll pay everyone's addmission...lol. 48D:D Quote
MBF Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 The girl and the flattie-there's an oxymoron if I ever heard one. I'll bet she's someone's great grandma today. Some old trucks seem to age more gracefully than some people do. Quote
48Dodger Posted November 12, 2009 Author Report Posted November 12, 2009 You mean......that's not a recent picture??? 48D Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 You mean......that's not a recent picture???48D It is recent enough for me:cool: Nice thing about pictures is they dont age. Only the lookers age and they think the picture looks old. Quote
John-T-53 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Wow Clements is only about 500 miles away...might have to get the ol' gal (the truck) ready for a road trip! I might bring some lookers along in case the one in the photo below turns out to be...well, a little more wrinkly than expected. Quote
DollyDodge Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 I can't see the flyer that is mentioned. How do I access it/ rob Quote
48Dodger Posted December 1, 2009 Author Report Posted December 1, 2009 (edited) "Oh yes,.. Hemi's pay double, and yellow trucks get in free."Hey! Does that mean 'ol Grey has to pay? Yeah that's good question Jim....kinda falls into that "Grey" area again....I'll check with revenue and recovery...lol:D no flyer yet...working on it!!! 48D Edited December 4, 2009 by 48dodger Quote
Charles Furman Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 If I can make it up that way this year, where is a good place to gat a room? Quote
48Dodger Posted December 4, 2009 Author Report Posted December 4, 2009 As always, I have plenty of room for RV's and/or campers. Anyone who wants to throw a sleeping bag on the living room floor, that's fine too. Call ahead, first come first serve.... Lots of good places to stay at Hwy 99 and Kettleman Rd in Lodi Lodi 15 miles from my house Stockton 20 miles There are smaller towns closer, but no hotels I'm aware of. Lockeford 5 miles Clements 3 miles The best one I could reccomend without having stayed there, would be: Hampton Inn and suites 1337 Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA - (209) 369-2700 its fairly new and seems have the brand names close by,,,ie Denny's, Starbucks, Mc Donalds, etc...... 48D:D Quote
Bob_Koch Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 My in-laws live only 3 miles from Tim's BBQ place in Lodi. Just down the road. They have a large 5th wheel trailer already setup on their property with electrictiy and water. Anyone coming up is welcome to use it. It gets used as a guest house, so consider yourself a guest. Just let me know. Quote
48Dodger Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 Just wanted to bump the thread back up to the top....only about 2 months til the big day! Look forward to seeing y'all there! 48D Quote
lugnut123 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 dam I'd like to go and get out o this snow bank. Quote
BulldogTom Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Tim - I think I am going to make it this year. Nothing is on the calendar right now. But I don't think the truck will be there. Still too much to do to get it running by then and I don't have a trailer to drag it out there. Of Course, I would rent a trailer if all you guys wanted to donate a couple hours to getting it finished up? Something like the Pilothouse olympics. Fastest to make a wiring harness and hook it up, Fastest to get it running. Fastest to adjust the valves. Fastest to tune it up. Fastest to detail the engine compartment. Fastest to rebuild the carb. Fastest to align the front end. Fastest to convert the front brakes to disc. Well, you get the picture. I think MGD for first place, Bud Light for second, Coors for third. I will definately supply the prizes. Any takers? Tom Quote
48Dodger Posted February 26, 2010 Author Report Posted February 26, 2010 Hey Tom...no need to rent a trailer...I'll come by and pick your truck up the day before and bring it back the day after. I think your in Woodbridge right? Only 15 miles I think. 48D Quote
John-T-53 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 I think I can definitely make it. I'm moving up to the Bay Area in a couple weeks, so from there it will be about 300 miles less to drive at 50 mph! Quote
48Dodger Posted February 26, 2010 Author Report Posted February 26, 2010 Hey John! You should be alright, Tod made it the first year....can't remember his top speed, but made the trip all the way from SF with his wife. 48D Quote

It may still be just the cab, frame, powertrain and wheels, but that will just make it easier to push onto the trailer. I will be done with tax season so I won't have to be in the office that saturday. I am looking forward to seeing all the trucks and gleaning some information on getting this truck rolling. Thanks Tim. Send me a Private message and I will give you my phone number and address. Quote
