RobertKB Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Just wondering if anyone has found a source for the 4" long oval headed bolts that hold the bumperettes onto the bumper. I have lots of new shorter ones but the longer ones I am having trouble finding. I tried Neil Riddle and he does not have them. He gave me the name of Bob at mrplymouth but no luck there at present. Roberts does not have them in his catalogue. Haven't tried Andy B. yet but am willing to if he has them but it is too late to phone today. Any information much appreciated. I will be putting freshly chromed bumpers and bumperettes back on my car after a repaint and the present rather beat up bolts will be out of place. Quote

Young Ed Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 What about using the short bolt with a threaded collar instead of the spacer? Quote
Olddaddy Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I have used the original in the past, just had them rechromed. I've had to weld the oval heads onto new threaded rod in one case. Quote
RobertKB Posted September 15, 2009 Author Report Posted September 15, 2009 Thanks for the responses guys and through another forum member I have been able to locate four new ones. Mine were really beat up and the square parts that fits in the bumperettes were pretty beaten up and rounded off. I now have everything I need for the bumpers. Car is pretty well stripped and ready to go to the fellow who is going to do the bodywork and paint. Quote
