218 Gasket set source

I really can't tell from that picture. I do see something there, but.......it could also be a reflection of the bolt head that holds the plate on the back of the water pump.

My gasket set came from Terrell machine - appeared to be some genaric no-name stuff, as I remember. Only issue I have is that now I must pull the radiator and front pulley to replace a failed front crank shaft seal . . . Bummer:mad:

I believe its a Fram one. The colors are ala me. I think the yellow was tractor paint of some sort and the red chevy engine paint.

Picked up the one from Napa yesterday. It has the extra loop. Says it fits a 49 dodge truck. was $37 for just the head gasket.

I went to napa and they dont have a head gasket for a 49 230 do they have them for newer models?

try autozone. the prices are generally better and they use fel-pro. i use that and have no problems yet.

Napa should also have that gasket. They were just too lazy to look it up.
