Young Ed Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Went to the junkyard last friday. Finally got the pictures uploaded. Wandered around for about 6 hours and all I bought was 1 interior door moulding for a p15 club coupe and 2 eschutions. The club coupe had both door mouldings but the other side of the car must have been sitting on the ground. There were rust holes through the 1/4 by the window opening and holes through the moulding. The other p15 coupes didn't have the door mouldings anymore. Are those things that in demand? Quote

radioguy7 Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Cool pics Ed, Thank you very much for sharing these. I love those old junk yards, I could get lost in them for hours. Quote
RobertKB Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Ed, thanks for sharing. I always find it hard to believe that these cars were all once new and their owners' pride and joy. Quote
Young Ed Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 I'm fascinated by that D series international that was owned by some business out of mpls. Quote
P15Mike Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 These pics are way COOL ... thx for sharing . Looks like alot of good stuff on alot of those cars . Where is this yard at ? Mike Quote
maurice wade Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Man, that 59 brings back memories, mine was green and white, six with air, three speed. I gave $350.00, and sold for less. It was a slick car in 1974. Come to think of it, I was in pretty good shape in 74? Quote
Young Ed Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 Which 59? The el camino? I have a fascination with 59-60 caminos. I almost bought one but I was saving for my house. Could have paid cash for it.... I think it was 2500. 60 el camino 340 auto with A/C. That would have been in 01/02. Quote
dezeldoc Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Hey Ed, do they have a windshield for a 59 fury 2dr hardtop? i need one for mine and am having a heck of a time finding one. also snag that 59 el camino for me! i miss mine. Quote
Young Ed Posted July 16, 2009 Author Report Posted July 16, 2009 Does it have to be a 59 and a hardtop? There were a few 59s and some 60s. Not sure that any were hardtops though. This is the only one I got a pic of but Im pretty sure I saw a few more. Actually looking again this might be a 57-58. Here's these I saw last time Quote
dezeldoc Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 i think it fits 59-61 plymouth 2dr 4dr. it looks like the one in the first pic. Quote
Young Ed Posted July 16, 2009 Author Report Posted July 16, 2009 http://www.frenchlakeautoparts.com/ if you call them up I bet they would pull one and mail it to you. They also should have books to get the interchange right Quote
rolliejoe Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 That's a nice vintage yard to have at your disposal Ed. Quote
Young Ed Posted July 16, 2009 Author Report Posted July 16, 2009 Best part is its not the only one! The other guys are afraid of big brother getting after them so they don't allow pictures. So I only have a few of that yard.... Quote
