BobT-47P15 Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 Well, here it is again, already, the 4th of July. Last year, about this time, we attended a car show & street dance on Old Rt 66 (Main St) of Baxter Springs, KS. Then, a couple days later Max and I played music on the actual 4th as part of that town's big doings that included sky divers and the fireworks display. This year.....gotta play music at the club where we usually perform, on Saturday afternoon. Our office is closed on Friday....thanks, boss. So......hope everyone has an enjoyable holiday with family and friends. Quote
55 Fargo Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Happy Independance Day Bob, and the same to all my American friends on this forum. God Bless America and Canada........... Quote
randroid Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Gents, The restaurant where I work is closed on the night of the 4th, so last December Lynn got tickets to the Rockies game really cheap. It's a home game vs. AZ D-Backs, our arch rivals, so you see us in the lower tier of right field just inside the foul post. I'll be the one with the goofy straw hat and a P-15 under my arm. The hotel is within stumbling distance. -Randy Quote
Abeblinkin Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Go Rocks! I love the 4th and I love the US! For me its a time to reflect, reminisce and tell stories about a good friend, gone, who shared the birthday of this great nation. Quote

randroid Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 Chance, Red or Black? Neat or rocks? Just curious, my favorite is the Balvenie 12-yr-old Doublewood single-malt. A Highland Speyside, if you get the chance to tipple one you should do so. Sounds like the sort of get-together I'd like to attend if I weren't going to the Rockies game. Enjoy! -Randy Quote
Don Coatney Posted July 3, 2009 Report Posted July 3, 2009 I guess I am the lucky one. I am in Dallas, Texas and I get to work all day on the 4th. Quote
