My uncle told me when he drove a Jitney on Mission St. from Daly City into downtown San francisco it was a 7 passenger Plymouth ..

The jitneys after WWII were mosly Limos like Dodges, DeSotos, Chryslers , Cadilacs and later when they wore out the Limos they went to Vans and they traveled the same route as Municipal Ry's 14 Mission and were ten cents more than the public transit back in the 60's .I always seen the 7 passenger Plymouths listed in parts books but never seen one ,yes this right hand drive is a rare find for someone.....

what I find strikenly odd about this car is the application of the middle seat...one would IMAGINE that the seat configuration would be as such NOT to block seating in the full size rear personally I think the jump seat should have the back rest against the front seat..but then again commons sense and praticallity does not always coincide in the same sentence..much less application

It's typical jump seat. There's room for the rear seat passengers' legs, though not as roomy as with the jump seats down.

The jump seats are not very comfortable, as I remember from my dad's 52 Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood 7-passenger sedan. The jump seats folded into a partition behind the front seat. But the partition did not have the glass window that a true limousine would have. But a neighbor boy still said the car looked like a hearse.
