Young Ed Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 For the first time ever in my ownership of the P15 the dash is not missing any pieces. Yeah. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 Sorry Ed but I see at least two keyholes looking good...the elusive clock is in place.. Quote
John Reddie Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 Hey Ed, This dash looks really nice. I like the color. My father bought a '46 P15 deluxe two door sedan in '48. It had the plain dash with no speaker grille and it did not have a horn ring either. John R Quote
Young Ed Posted April 20, 2009 Author Report Posted April 20, 2009 Ya Tim two key holes and thanks to Mike Maker I now have a key for the glove box one. Clock came with the car but the bottom mounting tab was broken off. My fix isn't pretty but it works Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 Looks good, Ed. Glad you finally got it in place. I see you have one of those unusual horn rings that makes a complete circle. Quote

I bought the dash pieces from one of these a couple of years ago because I like the way they look. Quote
Young Ed Posted April 20, 2009 Author Report Posted April 20, 2009 I had the center piece installed in my car for a bit just to fill in the missing pieces but without the painted ashtray it looked funky Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 If you're used to seeing the Spec Dlx dash with the chrome grille in the middle, then the Dlx plain center seems less than snappy (to me, anyway). A person can always spiff up the Dlx by just adding the center if they want to. Not original, of course, but looks good. Quote
Young Ed Posted April 20, 2009 Author Report Posted April 20, 2009 Bob in a way that is original. If you had a deluxe and ordered a radio you got the special deluxe speaker grill. I'm assuming that it wouldn't have the plymouth badge above it or the special deluxe circle on it though. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 Yeah....I wonder how that worked. Just an observation based on things I've seen........you'd think that since a business coupe was a utility vehicle, it would only be available in the DeLuxe model. But, not so.....it also came in Spec Dlx. Quote
