Johnny 5 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Sadly, I must put my project up for sale to finance my 2nd child. It's in fantastic near original condition, low original mileage (less than 59,900 miles), 12,000 miles on rebuilt engine, runs like a clock, needs wheel cylinder kits and fuel pump kit to be a daily driver, stored last 20+ years in a heated shop, NO MAJOR RUST!!!!!! Some little spots here and there but no big holes. Have pictures of outside, frame rails etc. Car is located in Port St Lucie, FL. Call 954-326-0009 for more info. Quote

Dennis_MN Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 I have a cousin living in Crookston if anyone wants a third party to go look at it. He and I swaped engines in a 48 coupe back in the sixtys so I know that he is familar with old Plymouths. You can e-mail me and I'll call him if you like. Dennis Sullivan Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 OK..mystery buyer..who got the deal...inquiring minds want to know.. Sounded like one very solid car... Quote
Johnny 5 Posted March 18, 2007 Author Report Posted March 18, 2007 Well, after getting stiffed on several no-show buyers on several different projects, I'm reluctantly putting this up again. Price is $5000 for the car or $6800 with the Chrysler hemi I'm also trying to sell. I have lots of pictures of everything. If the motor or one of my other projects sell in the meantime I'm pulling this off the market again and picking up a big six to hotrod like I planned originally. On the plus side, my wife and new baby boy are home and doing very well Quote

Normspeed Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 What state tags are on it, they don't look like Fla tags. Do you have an up to date clear Fla title for it? Any history you can share about where it came from and all that? I was just in Port St Lucie, Jensen Beach etc a couple weeks ago. Small world. The 53 hardtop in the cars for sale is in Jensen Beach! The motor I built for my 53 came out of the identical twin to your car, right down to the color. The owner installed a Skylark subframe and a 454 Chev motor, trans and rear end. I ended up with the entire Mopar motor, driveline and front end. Quote

DutchEdwin Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Johnny, Just read about mom and the new born. Congratulations. Enjoy the having a baby and forget you have to go to the garage some times. The moment will never come again. The car repair will Edwin. P.S. Put a thumbnail for pic's of your car so we can see. Johnny 5 Posted March 30, 2007 Author Report Posted March 30, 2007 Thanks for all the interest in the car. It's sold, paid for, and on it's way to the new owner. My weekend projects have alot to do with childproofing and that sort of thing now. I'll probably look into getting another car somewhere down the road but priorities are with the family for now Quote
Dennis Hemingway Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 Johnny 5, Take it easy, take care of the children and keep in touch. Dennis:cool: Quote
