greg g Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Saw this on the HAMB site thought some might be interested. Fellow says he bought it from the family and it now in a museum in NC. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=338859 Quote
Suddensix Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Well it's got the right number on the door. I chatted with Wendel once when NASCAR used to do thier northern tour which included the C.N.E. track in Toronto. He was racing a very well used and abused 58 Dodge on that occasion. Quote
Young Ed Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Wow if I'm seeing the ornament correctly thats a 6cyl truck Quote
Reg Evans Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 The truck looks like a 54. That would be the first year for a V8 in the trucks and the V8 symbol is a little different than the 55-56 V8's. You can just baraley make out the horizontal tips on each side of the V. Quote
MBF Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 I saw that a few years ago-even had 1 or two of his old cars buried in the weeds-the truck was too. It was a neat piece of history. Mike Quote

PatS.... Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Don Prudhomme's Dodge was/is a bit newer but it got restored recently... http://www.sweptline.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18574 Quote
MBF Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 I think Tommy Ivo had a Dodge cabover that he used to transport his cars-had a glass sided rear box so that you could see inside it. Guess that says something about the reliability of the MoPar transports! Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Here is the Tomy Ivo trailer. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/1280245191039034472xgqQuE Quote
