Yeah, it gets kinda crazy over there.

Some newbies start in with questions that deserve a respectable answer.

Some jump in before having done any research and ask kinda dumb

questions (or make dumb comments)......possibly deserving of a flame

job.

A person needs to have read posts on the hamb for a while before joining

in - to see what sort of thoughts get what sort of responses.

I don't think the guys with attitudes and snide answers are always

right.....but sometimes they are. A lot of it is subjective opinion on--

what's traditional and so forth. I post occasionally but try to stay

away from any volatile topics.

The good news is they hold the HAMB drags right here in Joplin in

August. The parking lot of the host hotel ,which is changing this

year from Ramada Inn (now LaQuinta) to the Holiday Inn.....is full

of all description of rods and customs. They come here from all

over the country, and those ratty looking, loud old hotrods make

the drive. A few are trailered, but they are mainly drag cars that

wouldn't do so well on the highway. They will probably get to

use the parking lot of the convention center next to the Holiday

Inn.....which is a lot more room than the Ramada parking lot.

I try to go by (driving the Plymouth, of course) and look at the

cars and visit a little. Take a couple beers to drink - as that is

a prime pasttime during this event. The guys are friendly and

willing to visit. They go out to the strip about noon on Saturday

and have fun. I ran the Plym during "test and tune" time two

summers ago......my first time to ever drive down the quarter mile.

Was always paired with something much hotter than mine, but

no matter, it wasn't a real race......just fun.

In the next-to-last picture - i gave Denise an Oldsmobile cap to

go with her car "Big Olds". (There were containers of chocolate

chip cookies in her trunk.):D

It reminds me of high school over there, and I didn't like high school. One of the "cool kids" will say something to you,and if you just in his face, his hanger-ons will chime in cause they want to be cool, too.

i'm pretty sure they will show up fine. plus i am going to put a third light in the rear window.

Can you get LED lights for your 50? They are really bright.

If I didn't already have so much money in finding and rechroming the taillights in my 48 coupe,I'd go with the LED ones being made. You can even buy them cheaper than you can get the original stuff rechromed.

they are not led lights in fact i have not put bulbs in it yet. in that pick i'm just holding it up to my porch light.

LOL! Man,you are going to have a FORTUNE in wiring if you plan on driving very far.

I was just saying that IF LED lights are available for your car,you might want to look into buying them. They really are bright enough to be worth the money.

BTW,what color are you going to paint your car?
