bobaloo11 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I found these 3 pcs. in a coffee can in my truck, they are about 5 3/4" long. Are they part of my truck or part of someone's fence?! Also, does anyone know the curb weight of a B2C? I'm getting plates and a new title in MI. GVW is 5500#, but I'll never load it to capacity... tia Quote
bobaloo11 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Report Posted March 3, 2009 Yup, a picture should help. Thanks Reg. Quote
Reg Evans Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 OK...now I see them. Yessir....they are parts alright. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Yup, them are parts of something. Nothing I recognize on a Pilot House truck. Quote
bobaloo11 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Report Posted March 3, 2009 Could be shackle brackets off of God knows what. But if Reg and Merle never saw them on a pilot house, there not for one. I'm not throwing them out though, to a pack rat like me, they're keepers! Maybe muffler bearings or wiper sharpeners. Good news on the weight of my truck. GVW on the tag was 5500# I know thats a loaded weight. The state of MI says it weighs 3200#, since I was charged by weight that's good. Mine probably weighs less than that due to rust, missing parts and no box bed. I don't think I would want to carry 2300lbs in it, no matter what the condition! Quote
48Dodger Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 They look like a locking type bracket (educated guess). I haven't seen one on any of my trucks, but looks like you put a carriage bolt through the square hole, and lock it down with with a sheet metal screw with the round end. There's a bracket like that on my son's 72 Roadrunner for the A/c. 48D Quote

48Dodger Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 OK...I think im getting closer....trim brackets. These are photos of Ford emblem trim brakets. Are the ones Bob posted Dodge? I don't know...but i'm getting closer. 48D-tective:D Quote
bobaloo11 Posted March 6, 2009 Author Report Posted March 6, 2009 These are flat with just raised edges. I'm beginning to think they are spring shackles for something, but not for this truck. I found lots of junk in the cab. Found a Cabbage Patch kid in his underwear under the seat! Maybe the truck was once a ride at Wacko Jaco's Neverland Ranch! LOL! Quote

Hey.....I think you're on to something! Was there also a single glove under the seat ? Quote
Big50Dodge Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Hey.....I think you're on to something! Was there also a single glove under the seat ? It wouldn't be under the seat.... it would have been in the 'glove' box... Quote
bobaloo11 Posted March 14, 2009 Author Report Posted March 14, 2009 No glove, no glove box! If he did put one in the glove box it would have fallen ontop the heater! I think I just found the tip of a nose! Quote
41/53dodges Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 was there a small child hanging out a window? has anybody ever even met somebody that uses their glovebox for gloves? for me its just a junk drawer. Quote
