BobT-47P15 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Now being used as a tourist conveyence by a hotel, according to a brief mention found on a - get this - old car forum in India. Link to that forum (is in English) http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/pre-1950/31280-dodge-1945-a.html Quote
Young Ed Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Looks like it started life as a panel truck or maybe a screen side. Very cool looking truck Quote
Reg Evans Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 That's really nice ! Looks like maybe a reworked panel truck or a military carryall. Looks like a Stude hood ornament. Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 I think it was a military staff car. Quite possibly it was manufactured in 1945 for the armed services. Quote
RobertKB Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 Very interesting and beautiful truck. It does not surprise me that there is an old car forum in India. They are a country very proud of their ancient and interesting history. Right hand drive would indicate it has spent its entire life in India. Quote
old woolie Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I think it was a military staff car. Quite possibly it was manufactured in 1945 for the armed services. That would be my guess as well,it even has military tires on it.Not that they couldn't have been added for one reason or another. Nice unit. Quote
