These are the only pics I have available right now.

One of the seal pieces goes around the door jamb, beginning at the top just about where it starts to curve down in the front. As I recall my pieces from Steele were just the right length. If you start gluing from the bottom rear edge of the door jamb and go up over the top it should end at around the correct place.

Here is a pic of me holding the piece in place the way I glued it in.

Here's a few shots of one of my replacement doors that still had the other piece in tact. I took these pics before I peeled it all off before fitting this door into my truck. I put the new seals back on the same way.

In your first photo I think you're holding the strip upside down. What was left of mine was this way, which makes sense if you don't want to collect rain water in the groove...

I debated that, and even had a post here regarding that before I glued it in. I finally settled on that way using past experiences on seals. The lip always goes towards the fluid that you are trying to keep out.

Does anyone have a truck with the original door seals in tact that can get a picture of it?

Both Old Yeller (1952) and Older Yeller (1950) have the original rubber on the doors. The trough is pointing up. This is a photo of the passenger door top on Older Yeller.

I just ordered the door kits from Steel and I'm getting ready to replace the door weatherstrips. I'm pretty sure the weatherstrips have never been replaced on my truck before. So I did some digging and found this very helpful tread.

I want to make sure I attach the two different weatherstrips the correct way and now I think I'm a little confused as to how they go. I've attached some pictures below to show the current condition of my door weatherstrips. Looks as though these were installed a little different? Not sure.

If those seals are original they're in great shape. I'd install the new ones the same way. As I look at mine I am beginning to believe they're backwards due to the way they get squashed.

These pictures are of the sections that are still intact. The rest of it is in pretty bad shape. Thanks for your help Merle.

Thanks!! I've been cleaning it up. Still has the original paint job. I've been rubbing it down with 3M rubbing compound and the color that's coming out behind that oxidized coating is 62 years old and AMAZING.

I'll take some current pictures and post soon.

Great ! I'd like to see some more photos. The yellow seemed to hold up better than the other colors because it didn't get as hot in the sun I'd guess.

I'll be doing the same thing soon.

I have some of the rubbers (came in a basket of parts that I got with the truck), and thought I'd start with the vent window section. That's the only stuff that's on the truck now, and since I can take it off, I'll know how to put the new one back on.

So.....how do you get the vent window off the truck?

Also, as you get yours installed, can you post some step by step instructions?

Is it just the two pieces? What about the piece near the bottom of the door?

you can get that lower door seal from Roberts.

Which way are you putting the seals on? I put mine on the way it was on my truck, which if I remember right is not the way Steele has them. Mine were original and make the most sense (to me). I can provide pictures.

I'm trying to figure out if I should go with Roberts, Bernbaum or Steele.

I've already bought the windshield rubber.

Santa is going to bring the rear 3 window rubbers. :D

I'll get the photos together for you soon here. I got the door seals from Steele, really about the only place that has them I think. The lower door seal is the "lollipop" seal that was discussed a while back.

below should be some pictures of my seals. pretty sure they are original, and you can see the dpcd logo in one.

the first is the cab seal. the opening in the C points to the door center, as opposed to pointing toward the outside or inside of the truck. (think center of circle from outer edge)

the next is of the door seal on the passenger side, with the logo. the little finger is on the side toward the interior of the truck, pointing up. the finger is not towards the outer portion of the door.

the next is of the driver side door seal.

last is the joint where the upper door seal meets the lower door seal. the lower door seal, along the hinges, is U-shaped, with the opening pointing toward the door, rather than toward the outside or interior.

yah what wallytoo said, basically the same pictures I'd show of my originals installation....I can take some pics of FEF now that will show orientaion better possibly being bright and shiney new.
