pflaming Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Do these 1/2 ton trucks really weight 4500 #'s? Somewhere I read the Model A weighed around 3500#'s. No wonder modern cars use plastic. Good luck with your truck, you've come to the right source. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 That's 4700 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight. GVW includes the empty weight of the truck plus the maximum payload. Does anyone know the empty weight of these trucks? I know it's heavy compared to a modern vehicle. Merle Quote

Merle approx 3500 lbs with the bed on the back. approx 3120 lbs without the bed. I think some of the modern trucks are just as heavy because of all the extras they come with. Quote
