Hi Guys/Girls

As I am only weeks away from moving into my very own house equipped with workshop and 30 year mortgage, I am trying to source a few things before transporting my D25 down from my dads place.

I am sourcing literature for my resto and as it stands I have the original owners handbook and a service manual for that period vehicle which is a great start.

What I am looking for though is any books or literature displaying exploded diagrams of the various segments of a 46-48 Dodge internal, external, and mechanical such as the carburetor link below.

http://www.autoracing1.com/Images/CarTestReviews/CarbExlodedView.jpg

I believe that if you can read instructions then you can do most anything .... although I'd hate to be learning how to land a plane or practice complex brain surgery from a manual .... but you get what I mean.

So the more detailed the instructions the easier it is to follow and get it right the first time.

Is there anything like this in book format or do I just have to ask for what you guys can post at the time.

If anyone has anything like this and wants to part with it for a tariff I would be open to negotiation. ;)

Any help will get my ride rolling sooner.

For the body parts you will need to get the P15 D25 SP15C manual with the Richard's part numbers. It wasn't printed until 1953 and very difficult to find.

I think I paid in excess of $40 and have only seen one on ebay au since.

The body parts DO NOT interchange with US or Canadian models.

So in saying this, If I was to purchase something like this ...

I would be wasting my time ? would it still suffice as a guide regarding the exploded diagrams ?I just need to see visuals of what roughly goes where... was really good at model cars and lego as a kid and a diagram to me is worth more than a page of text.

I couldn't imagine that there would be too much difference in the way they are put together. I understand that actual parts may not be a match for match fit but being post war would they really have change the layout that much? They were scrounging for iron at that time.

Mate, I've got the 1940 manual for my TJ Richards bodied C25 Chrysler pretty much all scanned. Covers the whole Mopar range, and probably is good enough for eyeballing some pics. 460Mb. Not a lot of difference pre/post war.

Also have the US and the export parts list books for the Chrysler - not much chop for the Dodge but you can have a sticky if you want.

Shoot me a note with your add and I'll fire off a CD if you'd like a copy.

Catcha round like a rissole.

Good job, you confused this American too !

Didn't seem to confuse me. But then I've actually been to Bendigo a few times so maybe some of the Aussie lingo rubbed off on me.

Yeah, but you septic tanks are getting used to us lot. It's getting harder to confuse you.

Geez, you had our mate Jacko hosting your big movie bash. What's the world coming to? He must have been cheap due to the exchange rate...

For those that cant get Babelfish to work, I offer a translation -

Gday OZd25 (Good Day Sir)

Mate (Friend), I've got the 1940 manual for my TJ Richards bodied C25 Chrysler pretty much all scanned (TJ Richards produced bodies in Adelaide, Australia for the Chrysler range) . Covers the whole Mopar range, and probably is good enough for eyeballing some pics (having a close look at the pictures). 460Mb. Not a lot of difference pre/post war.

Also have the US and the export parts list books for the Chrysler - not much chop (may not be useful) for the Dodge but you can have a sticky (sticky beak - stick your nose in and have a close look) if you want.

Shoot me a note (Quickly send me a note) with your add(ress) and I'll fire (bang) off a CD if you'd like a copy.

Catcha round like a rissole. (See you around the the various car haunts - rissole is sort of like a hamburger pattie made with finer ground mince meat)
