David Mac Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 In the manuals they refer several times to a material that goes between two body parts called Anti Squeek. Can you buy this, if so where, if not what can be used as a replacement? Thanks David Mac Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I have been using good old friction tape. Quote
Oldguy48 Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Can't remember where I saw it, but someone suggested the fuzzy side of stick-on Velcro. I'm going to try it out when I re-install the dashboard on my P15. It looks like it should work as long as it isn't too thick for the application. Quote
RobertKB Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I have used tar paper in the past as well as small bits of old inner tubes. Always worked for me. Quote
greg g Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 If you have body shop supply houses in your area, they should carry it. You could also use old iner tubes if any of them are around any more. The stuff I used had a single fabric ply surrounded by rubber. The fellow who did my paint gave me enough to do the car. Most of the restoration shops will have it also. But if you can find it locally it will probably be less money. You could even check with some of the body shops in your area, they might sell you a square foot or so which will be more than enough. I hve seen folks use the self stick hook portion of velcro but it might hold moisture. Quote
