RobertKB Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 We have the same in Canada but charities can still call, pollsters can, and any company you have dealt with before. I have registered and I believe I get less calls but I still get more than I want. Still better than nothing. I understand the Do Not Call List in the US has more teeth than in Canada. Quote

Flatie46 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I wish they had something for junk mail, I get tons of it. I've thought of saving it up for a year and sending it back to whoever sent me the most! Quote

Norm's Coupe Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 We were on the old list and forgot to renew it. Then we started getting a lot of phone calls at home again. So..........I made my own "Do Not Call Device". We just look at the Caller ID. If it's a call from a number we don't know, we don't answer it. If the Caller ID says "Unknown Caller, Unknown Number", we don't answer those either. Then the call is answered by the machine. 99% of the time those callers don't leave a message, so it wasn't important anyway. We did sign up again though for the new list. Quote
