Olddaddy Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 I just can't wait to get on my feet again.........that's been my song now for six long weeks. I am finally bi-pedal again walking unassisted and only feeling slightly over 76 years old. I list to the right as my left ankle is still tender, but working again. I celebrated by cleaning up my shop and sanding on the Plymouth in hopes of someday painting. Tons to do, six weeks lost, but back at it again. Bless you Willie Nelson. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 now if we can only get Willie to pay taxes when he is supposed to.. Quote

Frank Elder Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 You'll be busier than a one legged man in a a$$ kicking contest once you get your sea legs! My Gramps always said " My body's been beat down, and I'm slower than dirt, but my mind lets me figure out how to get things done. He passed away driving his combine during harvest at the tender age of 88 doing what he loved most, tending the earth. So I have no doubt you will figure out your own pace and be cussin' in the garage before you know it! Quote
PatS.... Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Glad to hear you are on the mend, Charlie...being able to walk unassisted is a great milestone. Just don't over-do it too soon!! Quote

Don Jordan Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 My father-in-law used to tell me: "If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself." Quote
