Powerhouse Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 what does Merle think about raising taxes on big business...does he come up with the same thoughts I have:D ....raise taxes on business=employees get fired and prices go up to compesate (if possible) for the higher taxes. DOES that help economy Merle? Quote
Merle Coggins Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 My policy is to fire all of the polititions and start over. It never ceases to amaze me how these guys can spend Millions to try to get a $400,000 per year job. There's something seriously wrong with our system. It was kind of interesting to see my name when I watched that video though. Thanks Stef, Merle Quote
Powerhouse Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 NOW that's CHANGE you can believe in... but ...that'll never happen unfortunately. Quote
Frank Elder Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 If politicians had to work pro bono they would more than likely be ordinary people doing extrordinary things. Not just a bunch of gloryhounds trying to cement their place in history. I am wondering when we will go the way of the Romans? Frankie Quote
Don Coatney Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 I am wondering when we will go the way of the Romans?Frankie And the way of the Romans is:confused: Quote
Frank Elder Posted October 18, 2008 Report Posted October 18, 2008 Wretched excess, Rich better than poor person , infallible belief that our way is the only way, and eventual fall of the empire due to arrogance. We seem to think that we have the right to dictate to other countries when their path is not in our best interests. Just a vent Don, I just think we should fix our own house before it's condemned. Sorry if I got carried away guys, Frankie. Quote
