greg g Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 If you are concerned about high engine revs at highway speeds you may want to consider swapping the rear end to one with a lower numeriv gear ratio. I believe for your car the rear end out of 70's "A" body cars from chrysler are a pretty easy swap and will give you a ratio of 3.23 or 3.55 to 1 wwhich will accomplish much the same thing as having the OD. OD's can be had from a very reliable source who is a friend of may on this site. He rebuilds them and supplies all the electrical stuff needed to install for about 1200 to 1500 bucks. It is a bolt in basically. The rear ends can be had for a lot less in bone yards, and are more difficult to install plus you need to have a new drive shaft made, but all in all might be more economical than the OD thing. Either option will give you a more relaxed engine at highway speed. Quote
Charlie Olson Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 Seems like we may have a TYLER from Kentucky reunion in the makings here, Folks. Quote

bob_amos Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Jerry, I see that the plates are from California. Can I assume that you are from the Golden State too? If you are why not look into joining the Golden State Region of the Plymouth Owners Club? You and your car would be a perfect fit. And... think of all the fun you will have going on tours with the club... We'd love having you aboard. Quote
