Plymouthy Adams Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Clance..I got the one I have here years ago from Mitchell Motors..great product for the price..now tha he is in online sales..not sure what his prices are today... Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Follow this link to McMaster Carr. Then search for vibration pads. Buy a sheet and cut to size. They will still be working when you are not. http://www.mcmaster.com/ Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Hey Don..I just cut a piece of that for my isolation on the wiper motor bracket on the Suburban upgrade..I have used this stuff for many years but have never sat anything as heavy as a car body on it.. Resotation specialities has rubber mounting pads listed...check them online...forgot about them in my first post. Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Tim; I have used these insulating pads to Isolate large horse power air and ammonia compressors. The weight and vibration of these pieces of equitment (running 24/7) I would think would exceed what a car body expericances in its lifetime. I have a hunk of this stuff in my garage. I will show it to you on your next visit. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 sounds like you have tested it pretty good...and it ought to be a fair price.. Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 I need a surf board for my wagon....I can see where they would be plentiful in Murfreesboro.. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 i was in MURFREESBORO Tuesday afternoon picking up a new 8 ft surf board ,,i knew i should have called you ~~ by the way gas in the BORO was 3.36 a gallon. I live right by Lake Michigan and we have lots of people who surf on it when the waves are good. But..........I have to wonder what would one do with a surf board in Murfreesboro, TN? I suppose you could use it in deep snow like a sled, but just like there is no lake with good surf waves, they don't get any snow either, except for maybe what we call a little dusting. I've also heard and seen people sand surf on the dunes, but didn't see any of those down there either. Quote
wayfarerstranger Posted August 15, 2008 Author Report Posted August 15, 2008 THIS is the second surf board i`ve bought out of Murfreesboro ,,,, first one a guy moved from SAN DIEGO and brought it with him & this guy was from CAPE HATTERAS N.C. and it is a super nice board new cost was about a grand !! And if you are planning on out running COATNEY`S BLUE STEAK YA BETTER HAVE A SURFBOARD STRAPPED TO YA ROOF !!! Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 Hasent anyone heard of river surfing. Here in the Boro we have the Stones River. Follow this link. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3486896397423944585 Guess I should be thinking about opening a surf board store here in the Boro. It appears there is a good market for them as folks travel for miles and miles to buy a Boro Board:rolleyes: Looks like I just coined a name for my store and I just thought of a jingle:D "If you are bored get yourself a Boro Board" Or I could call it Murf Boards are us. "Take your Murf to the Surf" Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 They could form a new version of the Beach Boys there in the Boro..... call them the Boro Boys or something. Instead of beach bums there might be "river rats". Quote
Young Ed Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 They surf on lake superior here late in the fall. Guess all you need is some water Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 They surf on lake superior here late in the fall. Guess all you need is some water and some nice big white cap waves. I guess Don could put some skates on the bottom of those boards, then surf the hills of Tennessee. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 15, 2008 Report Posted August 15, 2008 best thing about the Beach Boys being on the radio..is ability to change stationsor turn off the set... Quote
