  1. What is the difference in these heaters if they will all fit?
  2. Does anyone know if a model 75 would work? One on eBay right now
  3. I got the new stickers for the air cleaner and crankcase breather. They look nice but I'm unsure about the air cleaner one. It's an oval shape, but the remnants of the sticker that remains on my cleaner is a curved shape as shown in the picture. Is the curved one what's actually supposed to be on there? And does anyone know if these are reproduced?
  4. Next thing is to see if I can get my hands on a load tester then. Thank you
  5. So I will try to charge it some more tonight to see what I can get it to. But if I can only get it to 6.15v would that indicate bad battery?
  6. Next thing, I posted awhile back about having battery issues and never really got to the bottom of it. So I will start working on that again. I pulled the battery out of the truck and let it charge overnight on the trickle charger. It shut off the next day so it should of been fully charged. I put a meter on it and it showed 6.17v it dropped to 6.15v and has been staying there for the last 3 days. Is this the voltage a fully charged 6v battery should show? Or should it show more?
  7. Thanks for the responses everyone. I will be planning on cleaning up and painting the horn and air cleaner soon. I also ordered those stickers you posted Dav so thanks for that.
  8. If I want to powder coat the horn, what is under the cap at the top of the picture? I just don't want to take it apart and have parts fly out. Or just go ahead and powder coat it and have there be plastic parts in there that can melt when I cook it.
  9. Am I able to purchase a new sticker for my air cleaner that is a stock replica?
  10. Lights should work without truck running. The battery is directly connected to the starter so that's why the starter will for sure crank. As for the rest of the electronics, there should be 1 main wire that runs from the battery terminal on the starter to the back of the ammeter (if it is wired the same as a 52 that is) this wire jumps from the ammeter to the ignition switch I believe and it is always hot. This is where the power to all other electronics comes from. If there is a break in any of these wires no power will get to anything else. If you have not already done so looking over all wiring is definately a good idea. These old trucks didn't have much wiring so it really does not take that long. When I got my truck that's one of the first things I did. I got a wiring diagram and restored all wiring back to stock. I found a couple large bare spots under the dash and a couple breaks in wires.
  11. I cover one end of it with your finger and blow air through the other side you'll be able to tell if it has any cracks in it
  12. YA definitely worth checking. That fix is much cheaper then a new fuel pump
  13. So the radiator cap should not be pressureized? Does that go for my 52 as well? The cap on mine says 4#
  14. I just bought the premade section with the crimped on ends from DCM
  15. Not sure how the fuel lines are on these years but on mine I was not getting any fuel to the carb either I checked the pump and it all checked out, all the lines were clear but I replaced them anyway. The problem ended up being the short length of flex hose that runs from the end of the hard fuel line at the bottom of the radiator to the fuel pump, it got so dried out and cracked that it was letting air in and it was not allowing fuel to the pump. So before you buy a new pump if your truck has this piece of rubber tubing you should check it. Once I replaced it I just had to put some air to the gas tank to get the fuel to the pump now it pumps just fine.
  16. Some from forum members, DCM, Roberts, and some from a truck that a friend bought to use as a lawn ornament
  17. Was there a standard size tire for these trucks? I'm hoping to make new tires the next big purchase, but I would like to make sure I get the correct size there are some mismatched ones on it right now
  18. I believe you mean the left but yes I did paint it now. Went with black haha. That was what I had laying around. I figured I would just lay some reflective tape or something down in there to make sure the light will be its brightest. Or white tape
  19. I might get some kind of a plaque made at some point and put it somewhere on the truck
  20. There is a few of these books in the series. They are fun
  21. And this is why I'm calling it the little blue truck. It doesn't exactly look like the truck in the book but I like to read these books to my daughter. And she enjoys them so that's what we're sticking with
  22. The truck has been sitting in the garage for a while so in the meantime it has become a nice shelf. There is normally more stuff on it.
