  1. Been working on collecting parts and cleaning them up and powder coating.
  2. Found myself a horn ring that wasn't broken. On the old ring one of the archs was broken out.
  3. Not a great picture but got the tail light all done.
  4. After all the posts I've made seeking help, I am finally starting a build thread. I will post up some pictures soon. Right now just getting something started.
  5. Ya i seen you missed your flight, well hope you made it home safe now. Get some sleep
  6. I suppose your right I haven't tried and the part is not at my house so I'm not able to try right now. Guess I was just wondering if anyone has ever had the two pieces apart. Trying to save myself some hastle thanks for the responses
  7. Ok thank you. I am planning to powder coat the handle but I'll try my best to leave the notches rod raw. Do you know if the rod comes out of the base and I could coat them separately?
  8. What color should the hand brake lever be? Black? Also should the shaft with the notches be colored as well?
  9. Ya wouldn't mind having this hanging in the garage next to 52 but little spendy for me.
  10. http://m.ebay.com/itm/FRAMED-B-SERIES-1948-1952-DODGE-TRUCK-FULL-LINE-POSTER-VINTAGE-6490-/112334947841?hash=item1a27af4601%3Ag%3AKOkAAOSw44BYldyD&_trkparms=pageci%3A8970dd9a-1248-11e7-bef2-00505697408f%7Cparentrq%3A0ba25a7215b0a2abc5ad580cfff8f482%7Ciid%3A3 found this on eBay, it's pretty cool. Thought I would share.
  11. Sounds good. I also found that there is a gasket offered for this location at dcm thank you
  12. I'm definately missing that then. I have to see if I can find one
  13. Ok sounds good on the ground. There is no separate license plate bulb in the housing just one light bulb in the whole housing. It is the lens that I am having trouble with thank you
  14. Just working on getting my tail light installed and came across a couple questions. First only 2 wires come into it, one for the running light and one for the brake light. So question is how does it ground? Through the tail light mounting bolts? Next is the license plate light lens, it just flops around in its spot, I am not able to get it tightt in there. Anybody have this problem at some point and come up with a n easy fix?
  15. I was able to find some new ones. Thanks for the offer
  16. Well I am going to install this filter, here it is all painted now
  17. I have a horn ring but it is broken. Is there an easy way to fix it? It has one of the arcs broke off.
  18. Also a picture of the cartridge I pulled from it
  19. Picture of the filter after I cleaned it up. It does have the words inlet and outlet clearly stamped on it but I was unable to locate any other markings would it be "incorrect" to install this one?
  20. This is what the one that I found looks like
  21. It is gone, but this last weekend I pulled the under the dash handle out of another truck so that way I atleast had it. So if that one is correct then I will probably start collecting other pieces. What other parts will I need that I wouldn't have from the floor brake setup? I know I would need a cable
  22. I have a 52 b3d that has the hand brake lever on the floor. What I'm wondering is if this is correct. The hole for the lever in the transmission cover was cut out by a PO, so it does not look correct to me. As far as I am finding in diagrams the b1 trucks have the lever hand brake. The b2/3/4 have the pull handle under the dash. Can anyone verify this? None of my diagrams show a 1 ton only 1/2 and 3/4. So we're both hand brake options available for 1 ton? Or should I have the under the dash pull handle?
  23. I got a oil filter off of a different PH I found but looking at it now, it doesn't look the same as some of the other ones that I have seen. Was there more then one model oil Filter used on these trucks?
