  1. I wound up using Mahogany White Oak was over $8 a board foot and I would need to mill it to size Red Oak was $7 a linear foot ...and Mahogany was $4.5 a linear foot and I've worked with it quite often when making furniture and it stands up quite well. Best of all the reds will only deepen over time and not get all black and mankey looking. Three coats of Spar varnish and we're good to go. Steve....
  2. Thought I'd share a few pics. I'm still buffing out the "Rustoleum" paint job but I'm happy with it and the new wood bed. My son enjoys playing with his hotwheels between helping me work on the truck. I'm going to have the bars in my grill chromed and I'll be ordering my window rubber in the next few weeks. Enjoy... Steve...
  3. ...ok...so if those are the correct taillight brackets any idea where these on my '52 B3B came from? I have no real intention of changing them...just curious... Steve....
  4. Very nice. Makes me want to post some progress pics of mine now...
  5. I'll give that a shot. The p/o of my truck made his own out of some rubber material folded over and pop riveted into the floor. If mine rip as yours did I may just drill out the rivets and attach them that way. Steve...
  6. Funny one Merle, Yesterday I was just looking at my Roberts Motors pedal draft seals and thinking how the heck am I going to get these on w/o taking the pedals off. Any advice? Steve....
  7. I had pretty good luck using my power washer & simple green. It took off a lot of the surface stuff and my kids had a blast hosing down the truck with it. Steve....

  18. No worries Tom. Next time I'm headed towards Chilliwack I'll give you a shout. ....and between my kids and work I haven't had much free time myself.... but I did recently purchase a new daily driver. I know its not Mopar but it does have an inline 6 in it...
  19. Sure did and it went really well. I had a local welder in North Vancouver rough them in for me and I did the grinding and filling. Overall I'm really happy with the results. If only the weather was a bit better I'd finish my Rustoleum paint job and have my truck back in one piece. ...and Tom do you still have that rim? Steve...

  25. Thanks for the feedback. Funny thing about my truck was that it already had the wing vents on the doors but no quarter windows....all the more reason I wanted to have them cut in. Regarding my vintage plates....they came w/ the truck when i bought it 8 years ago...and I really have no desire to tell ICBC about any modifications I'll post some inside pics over the weekend if anyone is interested. Steve...
