  1. I was removing the old glove box insert from my 52' B3B tonight and noticed this odd hose.... It is connected to a nipple just in front of the cowl ventT and is broken off just before it goes thru the firewall padding. It seems to want to continue thru the firewall to where? and what for? Have a look at the attached pics and see if you can identify what this is... Thanks... Steve....
  2. Harvey, I have one of the canister type filters (came with the truck when I bought it). Does that answer your question? Steve.....
  3. Just wanted to say thanks for all the help on the forum and thanks Tom for the strap. I installed my Oil Filter this afternoon with no real problems....and here's a pic to prove it! Steve...
  4. Couldn't quite tell from the photos but, is there a heat shield over the fuel pump? If so I'd be interested in that... Steve....

  7. I like it better with the pumpkins.....and my son climbed all the way up the hood and stood up on the grill (you can see him almost there in the 3rd pic of my original post) ~ Just like he does at home when we are working on my '52 B3B. Steve....
  8. I spotted this 1952? Truck in Chilliwack BC yesterday. Not sure if it runs but it makes a great centerpiece outside of Wisby's Produce stand! Steve....

  11. I just finished shining up my control knobs with #0000 Steel wool and a #000 brush & some black Rustolem paint for the lettering. Took a little while but it kept my kids busy for at least 1/2 an hour. Steve....
  12. Sounds good to me Dale. Do you have any idea what the weight might be? So I can work out the shipping.... ....and I'm going to call a local welding shop tomorrow and see if they have any thoughts on how much metal is needed around the window for a proper fit. Steve...
  13. I don't think my wife's going to let me take a trip to North Dakota anytime soon for truck parts! Can you give it some thought (if you even want to do this) and let me know whats its worth your while to cut the rear quarter windows out and ship them to Vancouver BC? If its too much to ask please don't worry about it. I will also look around for some more local options. All best, Steve...
  14. Not a bad idea.... Now I need to find a truck to scavenge... Steve...
  15. I have those already. I guess the original owner sprung for the doors but not the rear quarter windows... Steve....
  16. I know this might sound naive but would be involved (Besides cutting the holes) in installing the pair of rear quarter windows in my 52' B3B? Has anyone done this before? Steve....
  17. Thanks for all the help Merle....and I'm sure I'll have more questions to come... Tom, I'm grateful for the offer of the strap. I'll gladly send you some $ to cover the postage. Shouldn't be too much since you are in Cloverdale and I'm in West Vancouver. Please PM me with an amount and where to send it. ~or~ Are you ever in Downtown Van? Perhaps I can meet you somewhere. Steve...
  18. Here's a higher resolution picture.... So if I'm understanding correctly the "Inlet" on my oil filter should be connected to "#2" and when I place the filter roughly in place the line currently attached to the filter fits nicely there. So my last question would be: where does the other line go? Door #3 or Door #4? Steve...
  19. Ian / Merle, Thanks much for the help. So it sounds like I'll need to put a "T" in the line somewhere to accommodate both the oil filter and the oil pressure gauge. Does it matter much where in the line it goes? I just want to make sure that the gauge continues to report correctly. Steve....
  20. ....When I rescued my 52 Dodge B3B it came with a box of parts. In that box was the oil filter. I'm finally getting around to putting it on the truck but after searching the forums I'm a bit confused where the lines should go. Could someone please look at the attached pics and tell me which line should go to which fitting? ...and I am in need of the strap that secures the filter to the bracket. Anyone have a extra one on a parts truck? Thanks... Steve...

  24. ...I was reading to my Daughter a history of the Vancouver Aquarium earlier tonight and came across this pic. Good shot of a work truck doing what it was made for.... enjoy... Steve...
