  1. Thanks for the photos 52S. I have ordered mine.
  2. Moose just replied to my request for cost of his headers. $200 + shipping and takes two weeks. I will most likely buy a pair of his.
  3. Mark I think that front one will also dump pretty close to the fuel pump. I don't wish to make fuel problems so will steer clear unless they have the dump towards the rear on the front header.
  4. Just looking at the one's on his website I am going to run my stock fuelpump. That's what I don't like about Langdon's the dump is very close to the fuel pump
  5. Thanks Don I emailed him. http://www.manifoldsbymoose.com/home/plymouth-dodge-intakes-and-headers
  6. I wanted a set of Red's over the Langdon's because the Langdon's front set is real close to the fuel pump. Red's is much further back.
  7. the original that are still on my seat are grey with a very thin blue line running through it. I'll try for a photo tomorrow.
  8. I was told that they have quit making headers completely.
  9. Just got off the phone with Red's Headers. They are not making headers anymore and will not for the foreseeable future. All that I got was "people problems".

I haven't bought from these people but have it marked for when I get to the interior. I'd make sure they can do one in cloth. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DODGE-1947-COUPE-2-4-DOOR-SEDAN-HEADLINER-NEW-ALL-PRE-SEWN-READY-TO-INSTALL-/310436128777?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item48476f6809&vxp=mtr
  11. It's 38 and raining up here in Alaska. Been warm all winter
  12. If SAE are hard to come by metric will work. When they get that big there's not much slop difference in 1 13/16 and 40mm
  13. The one on my 47 Dodge is also 1 13/16. I just had to buy a socket for it.
  14. Same photos
  15. my 47 dodge's is just after the kick up almost top of tire.
  16. I bought two working original Chrysler electric wiper units complete off of ebay for average of $40 each.
  17. I put an original Chrysler electric one on to my Dodge to replace my vacuum one and it fit.
  18. Did the first start of my rebuilt engine last night. Still have to adjust the valves and rebuild the carb and put a timing light to it. Mine doesn't seem to be working at the moment. Need to find another bsvd-3 so I can put my dual carb setup on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXn8G3CFND0
  19. Welcome Simon.
  20. VJT if you have a parts manual there is a page in there with a photo of the body mounts. I only have a manual for the 46-48. Sorry
  21. I just got my rebuilt engine back and am in the process of putting it in the frame and just about to start it for the first time. Waiting on an oil filter, (the one I need is rare in Alaska). then on to body work.
  22. It opens the cowl vent. In front of the windshield. congrats nice car
  23. Frank and Reg is the tube hole threaded?
  24. thanks PA. seems that even though the hole is threaded I don't need a tube. Just put the dipstick in. If I do that it should be the correct length. Tks.
  25. rich I know it doesn't take 15 quarts. The tube is so long that the end of the dipstick is just below the top of the oil pan.
