  2. A little off topic... Has anyone used Andy Bernbaum Auto Parts windshield rubber? Theirs is $60.00 compared to $176.50 from Steele.
  3. Oh, and yes Tom, these are for the front turn signals, headlights, and horns. Just where you said.
  4. Does the terminal block, which is metal, have to make contact with the body?. The two terminals have what looks like rubber insulating them from the block so it might not need to be. I would like to stay as original as possible but a few bucks compared to $45...well I might have to go with McMaster.
  5. Sorry, still learning how to post pics. Won't let me post another picture, says file too big.
  6. What is the material between the two terminals? Feels like some kind of paper. How do you replace it and with what?
  7. Prayers go out to you and your family.
  8. Thanks! I knew I could count on you guys.
  9. Does this seem right? If so, the numbers after the color is the gauge? For example, the horns use a 10 gauge green wire?
  10. I'm going to start replacing some of the wiring in my 46 Chrysler Windsor 4 door. I have a service manual which has the wiring diagram for a C38 and I also have a copy of my wiring in color. I cannot find any info on what gauge wire to use,. Does anyone have the correct size wire to use? I know you shouldn't go smaller but is it ok to go larger? I'm not going the harness route, just want to do a little at a time starting with the headlights, turn signals and wiring to the trans relay.
  11. Cool photos! I made the first one my desktop background. The Chrysler all the way on the right looks like mine.
  12. This place has a lot of "do it yourself supplies" including door panel material. http://www.perfectfit.com
  13. If you have pistons that are too small, they make them larger. Just like those things you put in shoes that are too small, you leave them in for a few days and they stretch them to fit better. Piston stretchers are very common in West Virginia.
  14. Does that say $1.09 for reg in the photo by the pumps?
  15. I had my generator rebuilt (looks brand new) by : Bill's Starter & Alternator ContactStrasburg, VA 22657 (540) 465-2575 He charged me $80.00....Works out of his house.
  16. Just installed my Fulton sun visor that I bought off ebay. I love the look.
  17. Old age is....crap, I forgot what I was gonna say!
  18. The West Virginia Governors mansion burned last night.....right down to the wheels.
  19. My wife helped me fix her rear blinker on her car. She stood back there and said, " It's working, it's not working, it's working, it's not working."
  20. Also, Confucius say: Man who farts in church, sits in own pew.
  21. Thanks Chet, Your car looks good in the photo. Bet you can't wait to get her on the road again. The paint on my car is not a defect or problem with the paint, it's the type of paint they used. You can't buff it out or get it detailed, it's some kind of old school paint job that's suppose to look like that. I just don't know what it's called or how they did it. Looking forward to next year meeting up with you at some event. Wayne
  22. Thanks, I'll check into ashflake. It's not dust from the shop, it's too uniform through out the body. It's the same on the roof as it is on the rockers.
  23. This is in the whole car as part of the paint. It almost looks like metal flake but not as prominent. In fact you can't see it from two feet away, just when you get real close and shine a light on it. I have never seen anything like this. Oh, and this is a repaint but a very old one.
  24. I did try a clay bar but it's IN the paint. The paint feels nice an smooth.
