Glass company replaced my split windshield. They ordered the gasket from Steele and they sent the wrong one. It was their fault (on a Friday) and they wouldn't ship it overnight. They waited until Monday to ship the good one.
I actually don't know what shape the stems are, but after reading this post I was wondering if I had the diamond shape that Conroe was talking about. I want to get radial tires soon and don't want to find out later that I need a weird kind of valve stem that are hard to find. Maybe mine ARE oval (1946) I will take a closer look tonight when I get home and see if I can tell.
Not looking for any hoes, Don. Conrow Powercoating was talking about diamond shaped holes in the rim. Does any one sell valve stems to fit these holes? Stock wheels.
I read that the Vipers were donated to schools for instruction purposes only and were not road worthy. They had a few manage to get on the road either by students or teachers and were involved in accidents. Chrysler has been sued because of this and they ordered all the others crushed to avoid any more lawsuits.
The first two photos are the same armrest and the 3rd and 4th are the same.
For some reason I got a lot of 1948 Plymouth parts with my Windsor so I figured they were Plymouth. Can't find anything online to reference them.
My insurance is covering the replacement so I'm lucky there. I have a two inch crack in the center and no one will fix it because the glass is too old. Found a glass shop that will replace the glass but I have to get the gasket. I heard Steele has very good products but they just seem a little pricey.
