  1. Some visible progress this weekend, new rockers in place and drivers side is ready for flooring The red stuff is Rost-Stop by Wurth, it's amazing paint btw. Next layer will be 2k epoxy and then some rustpreventive elastic protection on top of everything.
  2. Quite amazing how many of "us" ride motorcycles also
  3. Good to see Petes innovative and easy solution. Do I see some transmission levers used in the setup Pete? Possible solution for the original question could be just raising the last cable bracket so that it pulls in an downward angle
  4. Not that particular seller, but many many times they try to triple the item value with skyhigh shipping cost to overseas. We have to be careful here and always ask before bidding. So far some 60 purchases with all the luck, let's see when that ends. My friend got ripped bigtime, around 10k USD. He bought an Buick which did not exist, Police got involved but he lost the money for good.
  5. Pete's last pic is spot on gorgeous
  6. Yukonjack you could be my long lost brother:)
  7. Here's direct link
  8. Since we all share the intrest on old Mopars, it popped into my mind that what other vehicles you all drive? My daily user is Chrysler 300M '99 Some summer fun with HD Sportster 1200S '97 We also have an Honda Accord 2.0is '95 in family but that doesn't earn a pic here...
  9. Well it is actually $ 0.05 per gallon according to this newspaper http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0606-04.htm Maybe Iraq is not in the middle east, since Tim knows better.
  10. Aaaaaaaand the funniest guy of the week award goooooes to PEKKA:D Smells like Eurovision... I just red from another forum that in middle east the gas is something like below $ 0.10 per gallon:eek:
  11. It might be something with your "cache" memory or "cookies" for temporary internet files messing the screen. Seems like those are deleted only when you reboot, and now your PC tries to load the page from the cache instead of the web. If you use Win explorer as a browser try Tools-> Internet options -> (on the General page) you see temporary Internet files, Delete Cookies + Delete files and Delete History as well. That helps my machine, but I'm not an ADP expert
  12. I agree with Brendan D25 that the bumper looks kinda heavy, grille is very nice.
  13. Yup, around $8.12 / gallon here.
  14. Am I a builder or what, the more I spend time in garage, the worse it gets:D <p>
  15. Slick smooth and cool!
  16. Ummmm... I'd say blsht... maybe the filter would actually hold the other crap, but a quarter of water, I don't think so.
  17. Great explanation of our roots Pekka, so true. BTW. I emailed you some pics while ago, did you receive?
  18. Great job Jim, here's another Finn who would like to have an copy as well.
  19. Thanks Rockwood, I'm not worried a bit, it's not that bad like Rockwood says. And the best part is that I get "free" wood for my fireplace in Christmas time, just chop it out from my car. Now how convenient is that:p
  20. Unfortunately you cannot "Put pedal to the metal", instead you are able to "Hammer your foot through the firewall..."
  21. Or... Looks like I have some welding ahead:D
  22. My '46 I recommend Big Jim's as well. He's unfortunately passed away but wifey carries on the business. http://www.aboutus.org/BigJims.net
  23. 340 is more on the oldskooool hype side nowadays. Overpriced because of it's legendary reputation, but there's actually plenty of more reasonable builds awailable if you are not restoring a numbers matching multidollar 340 e-body. I would definately go the 408cid stroker route despite the need, street or strip, if SBM is the baseplant. Give it a thought, the whole kit with NEW crank, NEW rods, NEW pistons, NEW bearings, balanced etc. runs less than $1500,- for example in Ohio Cranks or dozen other places. DIY or ready to run you name it, hard to beat hp and tq combined into proven reliability. Add another $1500,- in form of Edelbrock RPM alu heads on top of that shortblock and that truck will fly the streets with all NEW motor and less investment, than an tired 340 which is great engine, but not worth those bucks anymore. Damn did I sound like I sell these... well I don't. I just have built several FAST mopar SB's, both 340 and 360, up to +600hp so they kind of grow on me;)
  24. Great company which also works nice to overseas. Highly recommended
