  10. I have the cover off the inside of the door. It looks like there is a rubber( hard plastic) bumper on the end of the flat door stopper rod. Can it be taken off? I have seen them door stops with cotter pins in them instead of a rivet. thanks Hank
  11. A b1c have the same wheel pattern as a early 80's chevy 5 hole 1/2 ton pickup. Replace your whole rrend with the chevy. Put in a T-5 chevy 5 speed tranny and use the chevy driveline. U mite save some moneys. I ended up spending 200-250$ on a driveline with that special flange that fits the dodge 4 speed. You have to rig a slip joint in your driveline also. With the flange you will use a small GM u joint.
  12. One of my old trucks I tryed to put a newer dual M/C in without any valves. I piped the outlets together then to the wheel cylinders and couldn't get the M/C to work. I finally went back to the original equipment and to works now. Maybe if I had ran it through a porpotioning valve it would have worked?

  17. I think I must have a syncro ed 4 speed. It shifts to easy to be a non. I haven't really got this old truck out on the road and ran it hard yet. I think I'll change the oil in the tranny and give it a go before I tear any thing apart. What do you think 80/90 or 85/140 gear oil for the tranny?? thanks everyone.
  18. I have a b-3-c and I was wondering how hard it is to rebuild a 4 speed tranny? How much for a bearing kit? Is that tranny winey sound usually worn bearing or? Any where do they sale kits? Just looking at opions . thanks everyone.
  19. i seen a pierce arrow bus kinda like that. It had doors down both sides and was about a ton and a half truck frame. It was down on route 66 in new mexico in a farmers lot.
  20. If you mount your rack and pinion on the frame wouldn't the wheels toes in and out as the springs flex up and down?

  22. The base plate gasket on your carb has 4 unward looking grooves that let a little vacum port on the bottom of your carb suck air. If the wrong gasket was installed your engine mite run ruff. Just an idea.

  24. B-1-B panel truck on craigs list Albuquerque ,new mexico. 800$ It's listed as a 1947.
  25. your carb should have a vaccum port in it's base. If you don't havee the right base gasket your moter mite run bad . just thinking out loud. good luck
