A friend of mine put an Izuzu diesel in a short diamond T bus. I will see him this week end and see if he changed out the RR . That bus will git it down the highway. maybe a pic too.
I got to agree with 4mula-d , Set it on top dead center and look where the roter is pointing.. But it just seams like it should be back fireing or somthing.
On my old 38 the clutch is sticking. I finally got the brakes working so I can pop the clutch loose and run it in gear and get the clutch to release. It just wont release any other way. I replaced the disc with an old one I had. I also put washers under the presser plate and spaced it away from the flywheel . Any idears
I'm trying to figger out what carb I have on my 38 pickup. I'm thinking maybe stromberg but I cann't find a tag on the carb. It has crysler corp on the side of the bowl. Where's a good spot to look for a carb kit? Also where to find the vacuum steel line that goes between the carb and the distributor. I found the steel line but it's rusted shut. thanx noel in nm
put a resister on your coil. ask your parts guy about if you need to change the coondensor on your points. the points them selves should be fine. i seen somwhere that they make a CDI setup for the old dodges.
I haven't got the number off the block yet. This old truck came off a ranch in Wyoming so i"m guessing it has the original engine. This old truck has tons of patina, the fenders have straps running along the edge of the fenders to hold them on and rusty an crusty.
I was looking on ebay and they have some inexpensive radiators that will fit a 40 chevy. 150$ . From the measurements they would fit a pilot house if you manifactored some brackets that would bolt it down on the sides. The radiators are made to bolt flat to the brackets on the chevy. The dodges slant forward a little bit in the front. I was looking for a radiator for a 48 B1 and was coming up short. noel in nmex
I have a b-1-b that has a 217 23 inch block. The b1b's pump I replaced looks just like the pump on the left. I didn't realize we were looking at 2 differint motors. noel
Does your old pump look like some one put the cam follower lever in upside down. And it isn't because the two fuel pumps are upside down anyway. noel in nm
Does anyone have a part number or know the bore for the master cylinder out of a 48 1/2 ton B-1-B ? I went to ebay and other places and all I could find was a mc with bore of 1 1/4. I think that bore is for a bigger truck than the 1/2 ton. Would the larger bore work alright in the 1/2 ton? noel
