  1. Happy New Year to you and yours as well, Dave!!!
  2. Happy New Year from Western Canada!!!!
  3. I notice the nice new wheel studs sticking out. There should be holes there for the wheel BOLTS, no? Just shows there has been recent modifications done. (they're still shiney)
  4. "This high quality switch fits most cars, with 20-50 lbs. of pressure required instead of stock units that dont come on until 60-120 lbs. of pressure. Standard 1/8" pipe thread and is compatible with silicone brake fluid. Requires use of a brake line tee. $26.95" http://www.hotrodexpress.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=20
  5. Is there still that big instruction manual that GTK did on the main site? I looked and can't find it. It was GREAT at explaining the what why's and hows of these brakes.
  6. I got mine from Mid-Canada Suspension in Winnipeg
  7. I couldn't see anything wrong with mine either, but it was all apart and the old ones were 68 years old, so they got replaced. Now there will be no doubt and that's one more job I won't have to do later. The style of bushing is such that I'm not sure how you would determine if they are no good anyway.

  9. HIGH DESERT TOWING 505-546-5300 7120 Highway 549 Deming, NM 88030 Looks like a decent project...maybe a nice little travel trailer behind it.
  10. If you upload to photobucket, it is automatically resized and even then you can resize it further. Then just use the yellow mountain icon to post to the forum using the photobucket URL. The large original remains on your computer.
  11. I was in the biz too for a while. There are testers onsite of every city job testing the mix, the compaction, the crown and a myriad of other specs. As well, the company owns the road for two years after, and is responsible for any repairs or failures. After 2 years, it is turned over to the city. The company I worked for does the complete job from raw land to paved road. Some areas, the soil conditions are crap and things are challenging, but they are able to lay down a good road that withstands the wild temp extremes from 90 above to 40 below. Roads here last 40 years before they are top-lifted.
  12. Ya, the trees are here, but we pay the same as you pay...sometimes more:(
  13. Asleep in 10 minutes? I fail to see the downside
  14. I agree, Norm...more to the shop than the old Mopar. I got the plans a few years back for "Norms" Adirondack chair. After some modifications because the plans are quite inaccurate, I have done about 20 of them and given them to friends and family. This year, when I can, I'll be trying to build "Jakes Chair" (google it for free plans) Chairs that don't fall apart are tough to make (pic from the net) Hopefully I can build and sell some of these ones...we'll see. Lumber is very expensive.
  15. This is how the '49 Chrysler was deliverd in 2003 after sitting beside a barn since 1969. The latest pic from August 07
  16. John, if you would like one or two from the Canadian Rockies, PM your address. Hope you are feeling better and doing what the vet tells you
  17. No, Tim, then he would be a "Garden GNORM" sorry Gnorm, you know we luv ya!!!!!!
  18. I think the thinning promotes the self-leveling of the paint to get rid of any brush or roller marks and make it nice and flat and shiney.
  19. Nice finds, Bob...the mudflaps look great!
  20. Joe, it works...I still can't get over the amount of work you have into those floors, and a quality job that will last longer than the original, too. Keep us up to date on your progress, we really are interested, Joe.
  21. One of the better explanations, thanks Bill. Your last line I think is very important in understanding the "Fluid Drive": "Note that neither Fluid-Drive nor Fluid-Torque-Drive referred to the transmission, only the fluid coupling or converter between the engine and clutch." 1949 Chrysler Fluid coupling, clutch and M6 Transmission.
  22. I agree...what are the plans? Is it running?
  23. Nice to see a post from you, Richie. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!!, and to Don and Lisa and Tim and family as well...and to everyone else!!!
  24. That's a beauty. Merry Christmas and thanks for the pics
