  1. I knew you'd like that info, Bob. And Willie's great music.
  2. Back to the music... The original version of 'Kansas City' was was recorded by Little Willie Littlefield, under the title 'K.C. Loving', in 1952. I'm proud to report that Willie played our Rhythm Riot festival in the UK, in 2006. Sadly, he succumbed to cancer last year. He was a lovely guy...
  3. Fantastic news, Bob. Really looking forward to hearing that you're cruising in that beautiful car again.
  4. Hi Simon, Chris, Dean and I are planning to get our two convertibles and one two-door sedan to Wheels Day this year. Hope you'll be there with your beautiful, coupe, too. Feel free to email me (Robin@RockTheJoint.com) if you want to meet up.
  5. Thanks Guys. Glad you enjoyed the article.
  6. Chris and I thought you might like to see this feature on our cars. The magazine is due to hit the stands in the next few days. www.Classic-American.com
  7. I have a spare harness and kick-down for the R10. Please PM me if you're interested in these parts.
  8. These are the samples I've collected from suppliers in the UK. The colours on this scan are not exactly true...
  9. Hi Ward, I'm just undertaking exactly the same project, here in the UK. I have an original paint and interior catalogue which lists the standard seat covers for all P15 convertibles as red leather with bedford cord. I've attached a scan. The leathers have changed color with age, so please don't match to this. As you can see, tan leather with cord, or blue leather with cord were also available as options. In addition, I have seen period pictures showing two-tone cord (which I think my car had originally) and all leather. The red is a very deep color - maroon is probably an accurate description. Some people describe the color as mulberry. Bill Hirsch (HirschAuto.com) stocks bedford cord fabric. He also has very good matches for the vinyl. He'll send samples. Leather is available in a wide range of colors, so you will be able to get what you want. Sorry I can't help with a top release handle. Good luck with that. Please stay in touch. My email is Robin@RockTheJoint.com Also attached a couple of other pictures of original interiors.
  10. Really excited for you, Bob. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the car back on the road.
  11. They seem to be appearing from all over, at the moment!... There is an Airwing Grey RHD car that has just undergone a full restoration and has been advertised for sale - for over $70,000. We are also trying to track down a blue RHD car that we believe to exist. I've found pictures of it at a show in the 1980s. And, finally, someone recently told me of a very rough P15 convertible currently being restored/rodded, somewhere on the South Coast. So, this could bring to total up to 5.
  12. Looking forward to seeing this feature, next month. I will post it here as soon as I can.
  13. You can have fun spotting the P15s in this great colour movie of Los Angeles streets in the 1940s. I'll start you off with a woody at 1.07...
  14. Does this help, Chris?
  15. I think Chris (victoredaye on here) has been looking into this, so he may have some info.
  16. Excellent. Congratulations.
  17. And another. I love this photo - by Nick Clements for Men's File magazine...
  18. Thanks for all the help guys. Very much appreciated.
  19. I need to replace the rubber cover on the propshaft front coupling but I can't find the part listed anywhere. Does anyone have details of a suitable replacement that may be available off the shelf? I also need to source rubber covers for tie rod ends. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Robin.
  20. Everyone ran under their VHRA Membership Number, so we will always keep the same one.
  21. The pictures keep coming in. As you can see, I was flying the flag...
  22. I just got this picture...
  23. Thanks for posting this, Bill. That tag topper does look mighty familiar...
