Some of us use a newer type of filter. I don't know what it's off of it was there when I bought the Plymouth. I was told that the carb is off of a Falcon. Dennis:cool:

I missed the car show yesterday at Calico Ghost Town, but I was told that they had a slient prayer for me at 1:30pm and that was the same time that my blood pressure setteled down. The next show is at the AVI Casino in Laughlin, Nv in 2 weeks I sure hope to be able to go to that one as it is fun, it lasts from thursday to sunday. My next Dr's appt in the day before the show and that will be when I will be told if I can drive or not. I have a buddy who said that he will load and unload the car for me if I need it. Dennis:cool:

Thanks Guys. After I posted this last night I went to bed to get some sleep (10 hrs). I you know that you don't sleep in MICU, they keep you monitered and check you every 10 minutes. Dennis:eek:

Just to let everyone know that I'm home, we got home a short while ago. My Carotid Endarterectomy on the Carotid Artery on the right side of my neck went good on Thursady, but then my blood pressure went wild. It went from real low to very high and everything in between. They finally got it under control today so Loma Linda VA Hospital let me come home this afternoon. I now have a scar from behind my ear down to the bottom of my neck. No driving or lifting over 10 lbs for the next 2 weeks. Catch you later Dennis:eek:

Back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and, as required by law, tried to run it. They failed and it closed. I wouldn't want to give up my wind wing windows. When I drive in the winter they help keep the windshield clear. They are the things I miss most on new cars. Dennis:cool:

We drive the 48 to some shows and we trailer it to others, It depends on how I feel, how far away, and how long the show is. In April we plan on going to the show at the AVI Casino in Laughlin, Nv. We will trailer the car there as it is a 4 day show and I have to carry food & beer for me for the 4 days, but the main reason we trailer is that my wife is a trailer Queen. (she likes air conditioning) Dennis:p

radioguy7, The Ford is a 54 F-100 P/U that has spent the last 20 years setting in the desert. Hopefully after my carotid artery surgery next week I'll be able to start working on it. Dennis:cool:

I guess it would be between our 56 Chevy and my old 64 Chevy P/U. The 56 Chevy is a blast to drive. I miss the 64 P/U our daughter tried to take down a power pole with it and the truck lost. Dennis:eek:

I forgot about our 2000 GMC Sierra Extended Cab P-U. The Windows in the extended cab kept blowing out at a speed above 50 mph. Owned the truck for 8 months and had the window replaced 10 times. GMC bought the truck back under the Lemon Law and gave us a 2001 Yukon for the same price as the truck. We got a call from GMC 3 monthe later telling us that they found that the truck had been dropped off of the delivery truck and bent the frame. Dennis:D

87 Mustang, I should of known it was a bad car when it had a dead battery the day we went to pick it up. (New) 3 MAP sensors, 2 radiators, & 1 head gasket in 3 years. It had to be a Monday or Friday car. Dennis:cool:

Robert, I agree with you. I think they should go back to "stock cars" where they had to sell so many cars to the public before they could race them. I have been to the old Riverside Race track, the old Ontario Race track, the Fontana Race track, the Las Vegas Race track, and the Track Too Tough To Tame, Darlington Raceway. Dennis:cool:

We went to the High Desert Car Club Council Fun Day yesterday in Boron, Ca. There were only 2 Plymouths there, mine and this 33. The Fun Day is a BBQ Lunch with Good Food, Good Friends, and Fun & Games. We use the money we raise to pay for the 2 Million Dollar car show insurance that covers all of the clubs in the council. (14 Clubs at this time) Today were having 30-50 MPH winds with rain and/or blowing sand. Dennis:cool: Here are some of the cars that were there.

Look at the discription of this car, In every other paragraph he is conterdicting himself. Example: "It features a 1941 Cadillac grill and hood ornament, with 1948 Mercury tail lights. Everything else on the body and interior is original." "The exterior paint is absolutely dazzling (base/clear), 94 louvers in the hood, shaved door handles, Frenched headlights and antenna. New steering column, wheel and pump for the power steering. Tires are new with real Chrysler wire wheels." What is original about those changes? Dennis:confused:
