  1. Rotate the crankshaft until the timing pointer is at top dead center.
  2. I would think the best place to ask this question would be directly to pertronix.
  3. If I were to add to this thread you would really have some moderating to do. ? So I will keep my keyboard silent.
  4. I also have my browser set to show all new postings. It would be nice if we could set our browsers to select only the new posts in the forums we have an interest in.
  5. This was my fix. Desoto engine, P-15 flywheel and bell housing. Careful measuring.
  6. On both the crankshaft and the flywheel be them 4-6-or 8 bolt one hole is drilled slightly "off" of the others. So the flywheel will only bolt on one way. It may take a few tries to find the right combination. Once you find the right combination mark them as pictured below.
  7. I was held captive in the hospital jail for the past week with another collapsed lung. All better now.
  8. A 180 degree thermostat is what I installed. With the new radiator I never had heat issues while driving but I did see a jump up in heat sink after pulling off the highway. Yes you do drive faster than I do. I never tried a steady 80MPH. But I made several long trips at 70MPH.
  9. What I found. I originally had my pusher fan installed about one inch from direct contact with the radiator fins. this allowed too much air to escape around the sides and not go through the fins of the radiator. I then altered my fan mounting bracket so the fan was flush with the fins. This made a world of difference in cooling efficiency.
  10. That is called a bell housing and it is the rear engine mount. There is no rear transmission mount on a P-15
  11. There are no transmission mounts on the rear of the transmission on a P-15????
  12. My Spitfire head measured 1.930". I do not know if it had ever been shaved.
  13. This is the control switch I used but I converted to 12 volts.
  14. I have a pair of the banjo axle stands.
